Each one is a mirrored image of the other and has been made in the image of one of Amanda Whitelaw's original illustrations. They are made from laser cut wood which is fantastic because even though they measure in at a whopping 8cm long they are light enough not to hurt your ears even if you wear em all day long and into the night. Because they have been made from wood however it is important that you do not swim or shower with them on - Unlike the real Flotsam and Jetsam these guys dont like water all tht much. A spot of rain whilst out and about though is nothing to worry about.
